Scope and our privacy roles
Flint & Steel Ventures, LLC (“Flint & Steel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website. This policy describes how we handle information collected through this website and when you contact us about our business or services. For this website’s inquiries and optional analytics, Flint & Steel determines why and how the information is used.
This policy does not cover services operated independently by other companies. Our software products may have separate privacy policies and terms, including PMHub.
Information we collect and its sources
Information you choose to send us: your name, email address, phone number, company or role, the process or service you ask about, and the contents of your email or call. We do not provide account registration or a website form on this site.
Optional website analytics: if Microsoft Clarity is configured and you allow analytics, Clarity may collect information about pages and interactions such as clicks, scrolling, pointer movement, page activity, and browser or device characteristics. Clarity may use cookies and session recordings to connect activity across pages. We do not intentionally request that you submit sensitive personal information through this site.
We receive information directly from you when you contact us and, when analytics is enabled, from your browser and Microsoft Clarity.
Why we use information
We use contact information to respond to questions, discuss a process or potential project you asked about, and maintain the related business communication. We use optional Clarity analytics to understand how visitors use the website and identify parts of the site that may need improvement. We may also use or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or address a legal claim.
We request your choice before loading Clarity. You can decline analytics or withdraw a previous choice using the preference control in this policy. The choice is stored in your browser.
Notice at collection
The categories collected through this website are contact identifiers and communication contents that you choose to provide, and internet, device, and website-interaction information collected by Microsoft Clarity only after you allow analytics. We use these categories to respond to inquiries, administer business communications, and, with your choice, measure website use. The sources and recipients are described in the sections above and below.
Sharing and service providers
We may share information with a provider when needed to deliver the function you choose. If Clarity is configured and you allow analytics, Microsoft receives website-interaction information for its analytics service. Email, telephone, and network providers may process communications as part of transmitting them. Third-party software products and websites linked from this site are governed by their own privacy practices.
We do not sell personal information for money or use this website’s information to target advertising. Some privacy laws may use “sharing” to describe certain disclosures to analytics providers; Clarity is optional and will not load if you decline.
Retention and deletion requests
We keep inquiry communications as needed to respond, maintain relevant business records, and meet legal requirements. We do not state one fixed retention period for every communication. Clarity data is also subject to Microsoft’s applicable terms and retention practices; we do not control its independent retention settings.
You may contact us to request deletion of information you sent directly to us. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where permitted or required by law.
Security
No method of transmitting information over the internet or by phone is completely risk-free. Please avoid sending confidential business material or sensitive personal information in an initial inquiry unless it is necessary to discuss your request.
Privacy rights and requests
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent for optional Clarity analytics as described above. These rights and any applicable exceptions vary by location.
To make a request or ask a question, email [email protected]. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and will handle the request under applicable law. We do not promise a fixed response time beyond periods required by law.
Children
This business website is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children through it. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
International processing
If you contact us or allow Clarity analytics, the relevant communications or analytics providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Their own privacy terms describe their practices. Where applicable, we handle transfers as required by law.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the website or its practices change. We will post the revised policy here and change the “Last updated” date. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
Governing law and severability
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable United States law, without displacing mandatory privacy protections that apply where you live. If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
